Media Release | By | 25 Jul 2025 | 4 minute read

24 July 2025 – SafetyCulture, a global technology company supporting frontline teams, has unveiled a series of powerful new product features and AI enhancements at a global launch event, SafetyCulture Next. The latest updates mark a major step in the company’s evolution into a full-scale improvement operating system, supporting more than 2 million workers around the world.

“SafetyCulture is solving real problems for the teams who keep the world moving,” said CEO Kelly Vohs. “These new capabilities are about helping teams to understand and act. When frontline teams have the right tools and insights, they move faster, make better decisions, and deliver better outcomes. Most importantly, they have the power to help their teams improve. That’s what matters. We’ve already seen great early customer feedback, and this is just the beginning.”

SafetyCulture’s enhanced platform is already driving impact across industries like manufacturing, logistics, retail, and hospitality. Updates announced today include:

  • AI is built into more of our platform than ever before. Teams can summarise reports instantly, search documents for fast, accurate answers, and speed up content creation for checklists and courses.
  • Preventative maintenance functionality enables teams to predict and prevent maintenance-related failures to reduce downtime, streamline operations, and maximize the lifespan of machinery and equipment.
  • Lone Worker monitoring within the platform now provides a complete view of worker safety, enabling leaders to stay connected to workers in the field, and workers to raise the alarm in the event of distress for 24/7 response.
  • Incident Investigations help teams resolve issues more effectively with a purpose-built module that centralizes key information – such as inspections, issues and documents – all in one place.
  • Document management uses the power of AI to surface information in the language of choice so teams can get the critical information they need, fast.
  • Workplace training now includes built-in AI, making it easier to create courses in minutes using a photo, doc, or prompt, with language translation for diverse teams.
  • Advanced analytics provides live operational data from intuitive dashboards so teams can see what’s happening, drill into the details, and make more informed decisions.

Together, these connected solutions drive operational excellence – empowering every team to act faster, improve continuously, and work smarter at scale.

Backed by momentum and strategic hires

Momentum continues to build for the SafetyCulture platform, with over 2 million users worldwide relying on SafetyCulture to power their improvement, including many of the world’s largest companies.

In January, SafetyCulture welcomed two key executives to help drive its next phase of growth as it works towards its goal of $1 billion in ARR by 2032. Edelita Tichepco joined as Chief Financial Officer from FullStory, bringing strong investment discipline and operational rigour. With extensive experience in enterprise sales, Phil Goldie, formerly of Okta and Microsoft, took on the role of Global Head of Sales and now leads a unified Sales and Customer Success team.

AI for the frontline. What’s next?

While AI now powers everything from training and inspections to analytics and smart document search, the company says this is just the beginning.

“The pace of change in AI is difficult to overstate,” said CEO Kelly Vohs. “We see a future where AI is seamlessly integrated into the daily work of frontline teams, from the factory floor to head office. This will free them up to focus on the things that matter: their people, their customers and improvement.”

Looking ahead, the company believes that frontline software must have AI built at its core. This will include step changes in how data is processed, workflows, computer vision, and how users interact with AI.

Case in point: FISHBOWL’s fresh take on QSR ops

Fast-growing Australian-founded restaurant chain FISHBOWL is one business using SafetyCulture’s platform to raise the bar on customer experience and crew training. Since launching their first location in Bondi in 2016, the company has expanded to 50+ stores across Australia and recently expanded to the US under the brand THISBOWL

With 1,000+ employees across multiple sites, FISHBOWL needed a consistent way to uphold brand standards, ensure food safety, and onboard new hires. SafetyCulture’s platform powers everything from inspections and training to asset tracking and incident reporting, helping them scale without losing the essence of what makes their brand special.

SafetyCulture Sensors have also saved the business over $70,000 in stock loss and insurance costs by enabling real-time temperature monitoring across fridges and trucks. It’s a crucial safeguard in their fresh food operations.

“We have tools like SafetyCulture to ensure we stay ahead of any issues that could impact safety, quality, or operations,” said Claritta Peters, Chief People Officer, FISHBOWL. “It’s about making sure our people are intuitively informed so they can act with confidence and ultimately deliver an exceptional experience for our customers.”

Accelerating global growth, with a focus on the US market

As SafetyCulture continues to scale, the United States represents the company’s largest expansion opportunity as it aims to hit 100 million users by 2032. With strong traction in the region, including some of the largest customers in SafetyCulture’s history, and a growing base of enterprise customers, SafetyCulture is actively investing in go-to-market resources and customer support to accelerate adoption across the US market.

“The US has been a key market for us since the beginning, and we see enormous potential ahead,” said Kelly Vohs. “Alongside continued investment in R&D, we’re growing our team and infrastructure in North America to support our growing customer base. The US is a core focus for us as we scale our platform and help more teams improve the way they work.”
