Data Saving Options Now Available

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Your sync experience is changing, for the better. We’ve been working hard to improve one of our most important functions – how you store and access your audit data. You can now sync faster, while using less storage and less data.

Whatever industry you work in, data is important. The ability to access your audit records at the tap of a finger allows you to continuously optimize your performance in real-time, and make swift decisions on the spot. Companies these days collect, process and report on large volumes of data. The insights from the audits are allowing our customers to see trends and patterns in their business. Data is being acquired at a fast pace, requiring companies to react quickly with prompt actions.

Syncing Changes

Our syncing journey began by allowing all customers to only store all their data on their device. We quickly realised our customers were performing a large volume of audits, therefore requiring more and more space. By listening to our customers feedback, we went back to the drawing board to see how we could solve our syncing issues.

We modified our syncing experience to give you a choice about when and how you want to access your audit data. Your audit records empower you to make better, more informed decisions and you need to have the choice of how you see that data.

Here are three ways how you can control what audit data you see on your device:

Save space on your device

You no longer have to store all audits on your device by saving all your data on the cloud (your SafetyCulture account). Use this method for maximum time efficiency and data storage saving. You’ll be able to conduct audits faster, since you no longer have to wait for your device to sync and be up to date. This view will only download an audit when you select it.

Set a timeframe of audits you want to see

Let’s say you’re a general manager wanting to conduct an audit at your resort with no wifi connection. You might only want to see the last 2 weeks of audits for reference while there. With the new syncing experience, you can set the time frame to display conducted audits by using the Audit Sync Limit option in your iAuditor menu. You can choose from five different options including, a week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months of audit data.

Keep everything on-device

If bandwidth and storage are not a limiting factor and you need to see all your audit records that were ever created, wherever you are regardless of connectivity, you can store all the data on your device.

Whether you choose to store audit data in your SafetyCulture account online or on your device, the options are in your hands. Change how you see your audits by using the SafetyCulture iAuditor ‘Audit Sync Limit’ to save time and storage space.
