New: Instant notifications for faster follow-up!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Wouldn’t it be great if you were notified immediately during an inspection about something critical? Real-time notifications alert you about what you need to know and when you need to know it.

With the latest update, SafetyCulture customers can take advantage of the newly released ‘Notifications’ feature. This enables you to receive instant notifications when a specific question receives a failed or negative response. Update your settings to receive notifications via email, text message (SMS) or push notification. Whether you’re on-the-go or in the office, get immediate visibility into what’s going on!

How it works:

1. Creating notifications

Set up notifications by editing your templates or when creating new ones. The ability to enable a notification is available on the ‘Question’ field. Check the ‘Enable Notification’ on and select the response that you’d like for the notification be sent upon.

For example, the question below: “Is the facility in production or closed?” you can enable a notification to send to someone on your team if the response “Closed” is selected for the question.

Send notifications during inspections

You’ll also have the option to turn notifications on in the template edit mode on your mobile device.

2. Receiving Notifications

Notifications can be received via email, text (SMS) or push notifications. When it is received, a user can open it to be taken directly to the question that triggered the notifying response. You can access a list of all sent notifications inside the SafetyCulture iAuditor app.

Access a list of all notifications sent to you in this tab on SafetyCulture’s iAuditor app.

3. Notification Settings

From your browser, head over to your profile tab in SafetyCulture and edit the notifications settings.

From a mobile device, within the SafetyCulture iAuditor settings are configuration options for notifications.

*Email and push notifications will be on by default provided a user has allowed push notifications to be sent on their device.

Turn on notifications for your team

The ‘Notifications’ feature works well for teams using SafetyCulture to enable faster communication between the field and the back office. Set up notifications in your templates to send / receive instant messages during an audit via push notification, text message (SMS), or an email notification.
