Strengthening our communities through volunteer work

Here at SafetyCulture, we’re driven by a strong mission: to provide a mobile-first tool that can ultimately save people’s lives. Our strong team culture is supported by the fact we care about our customers, each other and what we build on a daily basis. In the spirit of giving, we’ve established a new initiative: SafetyCulture Connect.

SafetyCulture Connect is our way of giving back to the world we live in, by volunteering one paid day each year to a charity or organization. In doing so, we’re building safer, stronger communities by supporting charity and not-for-profit organizations.

Volunteering

Through the program, we’re demonstrating our commitment to local communities, while participating together and building team morale. Volunteering activities are aligned to the SafetyCulture mission and values. Which is focused on saving lives, and improving outcomes relating to safety and quality of life.

At SafetyCulture, we’re encouraging every team member to serve his or her local community throughout the year and ensure that this volunteer effort is not a one-time-occurrence. The volunteer day is part of a larger commitment to community organizations and these modest steps are just the beginning. We look forward to continuing to work with friends and neighbors in our offices across the globe.

SafetyCulture Connect In Action

San Francisco Office
As a small gesture of gratitude to the city, our San Francisco office volunteered at St. Anthony’s, helping out in the kitchen that has served over 42 million people in six decades.

St. Anthony’s provides stability to low-income residents of the city, and SafetyCulture volunteers worked to prep and serve hot meals to local residents.

The State Emergency Service is an Australian volunteer emergency services organisation, that provides 24 hour assistance to the community. The SES responds to natural disasters such as storms, flooding, cyclone, tsunami and earthquakes. They also perform search and rescue, logistical support and hazard management in coordination the police and other emergency services organisations, such as the Country Fire Authority. There are over 40,000 SES volunteers across Australia.

SafetyCulture, has enabled me to respond to requests for assistance with my local SES unit during work hours, by providing me with a yearly volunteer time allowance.
