We’re Supporting Movember

SafetyCulture News | By | 2 Nov 2016 | < 1

We’re ditching the razors this month to support Movember. You’ve likely heard of the cultural phenomenon that prompts everyday men to resemble the likes of Groucho Marx, Tom Selleck or Salvador Dali, but it’s also a charitable organization committed to raising awareness and funds for men’s health issues. They bring attention to issues like prostate cancer and men’s mental health. Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. In addition, almost half of Australian men will experience a mental health challenge.

This isn’t unique to Australia though. Five million people around the world support the Movember Foundation. Each of them are helping to change the face of men’s health.

Meet the Movember team

As we jump on board to help this good cause, be sure to watch our progress. Even the ladies are sporting a moustache this month too, albeit a digital one! We’re so serious about our moustaches that we’ll be holding an employee mo contest. May the best mo win!
